About the Triple E Project

The main aim of the Triple E Project is to build a better understanding of the most effective strategies that can be used to increase adolescents’ engagement with health apps.

If you sign up, you will be given access to the Health4Life app, which is a self-monitoring healthy lifestyles app. You will then be randomly allocated to receive up to four of the engagement strategies being tested in the study. Engagement strategies you might receive include reminder text messages, access to a health coach, extra app features, and information resources sent to your parent or guardian.

The Health4Life app enables you to track the ‘Big 6’ health behaviours we know are important for both physical and mental health. These include being physically active, eating healthily, sleeping well, limiting screen time, and staying alcohol, smoke and vape-free. You can also set goals for improving your health behaviours and access tips about how to change them.
